It fits

There’s a post up on Mac OS X Hints that says the iPhone 4 can fit in the dock of a 1st-generation iPhone. One of the commenters disagrees. The commenter is wrong.
Here’s what I tweeted the afternoon I got the new phone:
Here are a couple of photos of my new phone sitting in my old dock.
As you can see, the squared-off cross-section of the new phone fits into the rounded opening of the old dock. Not tight, but not too much wiggle room, either.
