I haven't tried ["brackets" yet]. I haven't tried ["brackets"] yet. What about slashes/'virgules'? What about slashes/"virgules"? And {'curly' braces}? And {"curly" braces}? "'Twas the night before Christmas…" with a straight apostrophe—should fail. "’Twas the night before Christmas…" with an explicit curly apostrophe.
