A week or two ago I got an email from Apple saying they’d fixed the problem with alarms on the iPod that I described here (briefly, certain types of alarms sync’d from iCal would go off six hours late on my iPod mini). Today, I finally got around to checking, and, sure enough, the bug is fixed and alarms sound when they ought to. Since Apple didn’t tell me where the problem lay--and Tiger, iCal, and iTunes have all been upgraded since I found the bug--I have no idea which software upgrade did the trick. But it’s nice to know that Apple is willing to fix obscure bugs, even if other aspects of its customer service are wanting.
