In today’s Foxtrot comic, Jason is fantasizing about being The Human Torch from the Fantastic Four. The strip’s joke isn’t funny, but I liked the sound effect when he did a “Flame on!”: FOOM. FOOM (Friends of Ol’ Marvel) was the name of the Marvel fan club in the 70s and also the name of its magazine. Yes, I was a member, and I’m guessing Bill Amend was, too.
