ReadKit article sorting

This is one of those posts that’s really a reminder for the future me. If it helps you too, that’s great, but my motives are purely selfish.
I upgraded to Version 2.4 of ReadKit the other day and found my new feeds—the ones in the RSS News smart folder—in reverse chronological order. I could’ve sworn I had them set up the other way in 2.3, so I hunted for a way to switch the ordering around. It’s not in the or under the menu. You have to right-click on the RSS News item in the left panel and choose from the popup menu. That brings up a sheet where you can set the ordering.
I also had to change a setting to get it to sync immediately upon startup. That’s a checkbox in the Accounts preference.
You may be wondering why I have the sorting here set to A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.
. This is the setting that governs when you’re looking at the feed of a particular site, including both read and unread items. I seldom do that, but when I do it’s because I’m searching for a post I want to read again. It’s more convenient then to see the articles listed in reverse chronological order.I haven’t done much testing of this new version, but you can get the lowdown on new features from Federico. I will say the sync speed seems greatly improved.
