I’ve been out of town for a few days, missing my usual monthly update of the US military deaths in Iraq (data from <icasualties.org>) and two milestones:
- the total of US military deaths in Iraq has passed 3500; and
- the number of deaths so far this year has passed 500.
I will say that two consecutive months with over 100 deaths has made reporters take notice, the only encouraging thing I can see.
