The 33 hottest coolest unknown free cheap Mac apps

OK, I have no such list. In fact, I’m getting tired of these lists showing up on del.icio.us/popular. There’s one today, there was one a day or two ago, and there’ll be another next week. They’re all pretty much the same. You’ll see Quicksilver, Adium, and Cyberduck in the free category and Transmit and NetNewsWire in the nonfree category (no, I’m not bothering to make links to these—you know where they are).

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with trying to drive traffic to your site, especially if you can get some ad revenue out of it, but these lists are just so tiresome. And there are so many of them. Here’s a project for some clever person: take that new Pipes thing from Yahoo! and come up with a single master list. Watch out for recursion, though.
